I stop myself from asking you for I fear you would say you'll be busy, or might cancel again on the day. Disappointment might just ruin another Saturday that was supposed to be sunny but has turned wet and grey.

This downtrodden heart has drowned my emotions in a sea of unshed tears. Eyes like a desert sky burning but now too dry to form rain clouds and cry. Cracked and untilled, this soil yields neither crop nor oil barren, a waste of toil.
